Product Details
Low-smoke halogen-free cables contain no halogens or other toxic substances and produce minimal smoke when burning. In the event of a fire, the smoke spreads slowly, resulting in low smoke concentration, high visibility, and minimal release of harmful gases, facilitating evacuation. The combustion gases are less corrosive, preventing damage to equipment. The low-halogen and halogen-free characteristics significantly improve the cable's resistance to aging, ultraviolet radiation, and other forms of radiation, thus extending its lifespan.
Low-smoke halogen-free wires refer to wires made with adhesives free of halogens (F, Cl, Br, I, At) and environmentally friendly substances such as lead, cadmium, chromium, and mercury. They do not emit toxic fumes (such as hydrogen halides, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide) when burning, and do not cause secondary hazards, meeting modern fire safety requirements. These wires have a smaller outer diameter than fully PVC-insulated wires of the same cross-section, allowing for smaller conduit diameters during installation or enabling more wires to be run within the same conduit diameter, thus reducing construction and installation costs. Furthermore, these wires are significantly lighter than PVC-insulated wires, making them easier to install and transport, reducing labor intensity and transportation costs.
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated wires have a maximum rated temperature of 90℃ during long-term operation and a maximum conductor temperature of 250℃ during short circuits (maximum duration not exceeding 5 seconds). Their current carrying capacity is greater than that of PVC-insulated wires. The minimum operating temperature for these cables is -15℃, and the minimum bending diameter is not less than the following: single-core cable: 20D (mm); multi-core cable: 15D (mm) (D: actual cable outer diameter).

Eight Major Characteristics
Low-smoke halogen-free wires for eight major characteristics:
(1) Higher tensile strength than ordinary PVC wires: The tensile strength of ordinary PVC wires is greater than 1.05Kgf/mm², while that of low-smoke halogen-free wires is greater than 1.2Kgf/mm²;
(2) Good weather resistance (-30℃~105℃);
(3) Non-migratory (because no plasticizer is added to the product formula, there is no migration);
(5) Does not produce toxic black smoke when burning (it will produce a small amount of white smoke);
(6) Higher volume resistivity: PVC wires are generally 10¹²~10¹⁵Ω/cm³, while low-smoke halogen-free wires are greater than 10¹⁶Ω/cm³;
(7) Good high-voltage resistance: PVC wires are generally resistant to 10KV or higher, while low-smoke halogen-free wires can withstand up to 15KV or higher.
