RVV cables are the most common type of cable in low-voltage systems. The number of cores is variable, usually two or more, and they have a PVC sheath. The arrangement of the cores is not strictly required.
Core counts range from 2 to 24 cores, color-coded according to national standards. Cables with two or more cores are twisted together, with the outer twist direction being right-handed. They are widely used in control installations for instruments, meters, building intercoms, and surveillance systems.
